The Paramo Torres range is the Paramo answer to the issue of layering for extra warmth.
Conventional layering wisdom requires carrying a fleece in your bag to put on over a baselayer and under a shell, however, there are drawbacks - most fleeces lose most of their insulating power when wet and having to remove your outer layer often means that you lose crucial body heat in the act of adding layers.
With Torres overlayers there is a much more practical and convenient alternative. Torress overlayers are simply put on top of whatever you are wearing already therefore minimising your exposure to the wet and cold, they also offer high warmth-for-weight insulation, can be worn over wet garments, and even help to keep the rain out themselves.
The Torres Gilet is perfect to wear anywhere, it can be layered over a windproof, waterproof or base layers adding extra warmth to the torso without restricting the arms in any way.
The Torres Gilet comes with elasticated arms and hem to retain heat, external and internal pockets including two handwarming pockets, a two way front zip and in addition it packs into the breast pocket for carrying.
